Engaged in 2017 by Boston Medical Center (Boston, MA) to develop a strategic plan for gender equity and inclusion in partnership with the Women's Leadership Advisory Board. Currently consulting with the medical and adminstrative leadership at this nationally recognized, academic safety-net hospital affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine on the strategic implementation of BMC’s newly established Office of Equity, Vitality + Inclusion.
Beth Israel Lahey Hospital
Led a five-month strategic assessment and training for the Beth Israel Leahy Hospital/Plymouth Board of Directors and the senior leadership team to align vision and strategy, strengthening the best practice approach and strategic partnership of the board/senior leadership, and laying the foundation for significant growth at this regional affiliate of Beth Israel Leahy Hospital/Boston.
Beyond Conflict
Conducted a year-long strategic planning process to help Beyond Conflict (Boston, MA), a to visionary, high-impact global conflict resolution organization, to pivot and update its mission. This rebrand brought their new innovations into the context of the powerful lessons learned from their long and storied history at the forefront of global conflict resolution and led to the subsequent $5 million seed grant that established the Beyond Conflict Innovation Lab for Neuroscience & Conflict.
The Builder Coalition
Advising The Builder Coalition senior leadership on organizational repositioning/messaging following a rebrand, developing targeted fundraising and outreach strategy and collateral with a focus on foundations and corporate sponsorship, engaging TBC Board as active ambassadors.
Wellesley Centers For Women
Engaged by the Wellesley Centers For Women (Wellesley, MA), a premiere gender research and action organization affiliated with Wellesley College, in 2009. The effects of the recent market crash had stalled its 35th anniversary campaign six months after it began. Successfully completed the campaign and exceeded its goal by over 35% while rebuilding the fundraising team and rejuvenating annual giving.
Women In Development
Early in her career, Barbara joined Women In Development (New York & Washington, D.C.), consulting with small-scale women’s businesses in the Global South to develop business, marketing, and communications strategies with the support of international governmental agencies such as The World Bank.
